Perhaps you have seen this fabulous image gracing the cover of our adds for quite some time now.This photograph is an excellent way of communicating the elegance, quality, beauty, and refinement that Bridal Extraordinaire is all about. More then just that though, there is a story and history behind this designer and why we deem him as worthy to represent us! Also, we think you'll LOVE our new dresses that arrived in the mail this week and are featured below.
Four years ago the owner and management of Bridal Extraordinaire walked into a lusciously beautiful New York bridal show room overflowing with gowns of elegance, quality, and modern flair. At that time they were one of the first to sign on to carry Europe's now top wedding gown designer, Ian Stuart. He holds the the prestigious title of Designer of the Year for 2004/2005/2006/2007 and 2010, is widely hailed as a trendsetter in bridal design across the world, and is gaining prestige is the states. We are among roughly 25 stores that carry his line in the USA and the only retailer in the Kansas City area, with stores being spread across the world in places like Moldova, Korea, Greece, and over a dozen more countries.
Ian, British by descent and headquarter location, says that his gowns are marked by a lavish theatrical influence that makes them stand out far beyond what is on today's market. His passion for the history of design, theater and music, combined with an admiration for iconic leading women in films and musicals have shaped that signature look that has made many a bride radiant on her wedding day.

With a reputation like that to uphold, there was much anticipation for his 2012 "Killer Queen" collection to be unveiled on the catwalks of London and Milan. Let me tell you reader, he did not disappoint! Couture details such as hand made roses, ranging pastel colors, vintage lace romance, layers of frothy fabrics, frills upon frills, bead work fit for royalty, and all the luxurious silk you could ever wish for were the domination of the runway!
The bride who chooses Ian Stuart will reign supreme on her special day. He is that different look that brides have been waiting for. He IS what women want!
In light of this, we received several boxes this week straight from the UK and in great anticipation we tore into them to unveil some of the most fabulous dresses! This week and next we would like to show you a few that we have in our store, available for you to try on.
First up is a fabulous lady named VAUDEVILLE ( declared by our owner, Vickie Cackler, to be her favorite gown ever!).
Dramatic mermaid gown with a ruched bodice, met with an
explosion of tulle, flowers, lace, and petals. Crafted of silk dupioni and spot tulle.
Next up is GIGI
Elegant and clean with modern bold lines, this A-line gown has a pleated bodice with various hoops in the skirt and buttons down the back. Crafted of spot taffeta and tulle (check out the detail below!)
And last is our very darling PEACHES
This fit and flair trumpet gown has a darling organza trimmed neckline, with a slim ruched bodice that is met with silk and organza rolled roses at the knee line.
