Theresa Vail {Our All American Woman}

We're placing our bets on Teresa Vail for the upcoming Miss America Pageant this Sunday, and we think you should too!

We have had the privilege at our bridal/pageant salon of personally sponsoring Miss Vail for the upcoming event! She will be wearing our Stephen Yearick gown for the talent segment and our Macduggal piece for the evening segment.

The main reason for your support is not because she is wearing our beautiful gowns (though that's a great reason!) but because she is just an all around amazing young woman!  She's a Kansas girl, what did you except?! Her heartfelt platform grew out of being bullied as a child. From this experience she trumpets for women to overcome barriers and break the stereotypes of our day. She displays this beautifully by being the first woman in the pageants history to fully show off her tattoos during the swimsuit section. In August Theresa wrote via her blog, “I am writing this post just weeks away from competing for Miss America because I do not want to shock the nation when I’m seen in a swimsuit, bearing my marks. I want to explain the meanings and reasons behind them, and why I am opting to show them proudly." We have to mention that her "marks" are the Serenity prayer, and the military medical insignia...not too shabby of choices for tattoos, Miss Vail.

She is also a member of the Kansas Army National Guard’s Medical Detachment, an expert marksman, skilled bowhunter, fluent in Chinese, and used to be an avid motorcycle racer. Her goals are to become a dentist while empowering women to be all they can be. Now that sounds like a woman that we can root for to represent America! All the best to you, Miss Vail!

Be sure to tune into the Miss America Pageant this Sunday!
